Our PTA is powered by volunteers who share their time, talents, and ideas to help every Barnes Star shine. From year-long leadership roles to leading one special event, there are lots of ways to be part of the team.
How Our PTA Leadership Works
Standing Chairs serve throughout the school year and are voting members of our PTA Executive Board. Special Chairs lead one specific event or project and do not vote in Executive Board meetings. You can absolutely serve as both a Standing Chair and a Special Chair.

Special Chairs lead one specific PTA event or project. These roles are perfect for someone who wants to take ownership of something meaningful without committing to a year-long chair position. Special Chairs are not voting members of the Executive Board, and you can serve as both a Standing Chair and a Special Chair.

Help plan and lead a fun school-wide evening where Barnes families can come together and make memories.
